LTP Rebrands To Reflect National Offering

London Taxi Promotions is rebranding as Taxi Promotions in a bid to reflect its increasing national capability.

The company, which launched seven years ago, recently expanded with a subsidiary in Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. Taxi Promotions’ managing director, Asher Moses, said: “We’ve expanded nationally in direct response to client requirements and if a client wants a campaign to run across Europe, that’s no problem either.

The rebrand comes as the company announces a three-month campaign to promote the new Virgin Experience gift-certificates service. The activity comprises supersides on black cabs operating in north-west and south-west London, as well as branded taxi receipts designed to act as a call to action.

The company has also signed a number of tourist board advertisers to its 12-month destinations package, which will see cab drivers flown to the destinations advertised on their cab. The initiative is designed to encourage cab drivers to promote the various destinations to customers (see Taxi Advertising Goes Interactive).

Last week rival Taxi advertising company, Taxi Media launched what it claims to be the first ever London taxi campaign to promote an SMS competition (see Taxi Media Gets Into SMS With Mastercard). The campaign includes 20 fully-liveried cabs fitted with tip-up seat ads, asking passengers to text for a chance to win VIP tickets to this year’s Mastercard Mobo Awards.
