Megaposter Secures Apple iMac For Brighton Site

Megaposter has secured Apple iMac as the first advertiser to use its giant four-faced Clock Tower site in Brighton.

The campaign, which runs for the first two weeks of May, consists of four giant banners each measuring 18 metres high by 7 metres wide and is designed to emphasise the 360% turning potential of Apple’s new desktop computer.

Media planning and buying for the campaign, which is intended to reach the area’s urban business population, was carried out through Manning Gottlieb OMD and Posterscope, with creative conceived by TBWA.

Ian Bohn, Megaposter’s sales and marketing director, said: “The Clock Tower is bang on for the new iMac. It allows iMac to showcase its design and functionality to a perfectly suited audience.

He added: “Giant banners are proven to be popular amongst 18-34s and 65% reckon them to be more effective than traditional media.”

Megaposter was awarded the rights sell advertising on the Clock Tower, which is Brighton’s first ever giant banner site, by Brighton & Hove Council in February (see MegaPoster Wins First Brighton Giant Site).
