Megaposter Secures Giant Heathrow Win

Megaposter has secured the marketing rights for two premium giant advertising sites at the entrance to Heathrow Airport.

The company has secured Xerox as the first advertiser to use both 112 square-metre sites, which are visible to all M4 and London bound traffic using terminals one, two and three. According to Megaposter, the sites will offer standout to one of the highest concentrations of business and leisure travellers in the UK.

Ian Bohn, sales and marketing director of Megaposter UK, said: “With an audience profile of 90% ABC1 and 41% business, this is a terrific opportunity for advertisers. The combination of audience quantity and quality is usually hard to achieve, this site delivers both and the fact that we are selling on a monthly basis at least allows advertisers to use high-profile exterior sites on a tactical, rather that a long-term basis.”

Last month Megaposter launched a new research division called MegaImpact to improve accountability in the giant poster sector. The first results from the MegaImpact omnibus show that fashion brands using giant banners achieve an average 66% recall amongst 18 to 24 year-olds (see Megaposter Launches New Research Division).
