Messagizer And Espotting Secure Deal

Email and wireless marketing company Messagizer has recruited pay-per-click advertising outfit Espotting to provide links to relevant companies within its subscriber newsletters.

The deal, which is understood to be the first between an interactive marketing company and a pay-per-click search network, will see Espotting provide Messagizer with its top three results for keywords relating to the company’s weekly Your Money, Tourist Mail and Sex & Loving newsletters.

Both companies will work together to ensure that the keywords are relevant to the content of each of the newsletters, after which the deal will be extended to cover Messagizer’s 35 other interest specific newsletters across Europe.

Espotting’s marketing director, Chrys Philalithes, said: “The deal sees Espotting’s distribution increase by a unique audience of 825,000 per month. It is also another step in our strategy to provide our advertisers quality, targeted leads through new distribution channels.”

Messagizer, which is the UK subsidiary of the Buongiorno Group, has also secured a deal with Smartstudents.co.uk to provide design and content for the company’s email newsletters. Messagizer will distribute the newsletters to Smartstudents 250,000 registered users and will then track the recipient’s behaviour and tailor further communications to their interests.
