National Network Radio Launches
National Network Radio, which offers advertisers the opportunity to reach the network through local stations, was officially launched last Friday. The initiative, previously called INR4, is a joint venture between IRS, MSM and SIRS.
There are 6 different audience packages available; adults 15+, 15-24, 15-34, 35+, housewives and ABC1 Adults. The initiative covers all local stations that have appeared in either the Rajar or Jicrar surveys, including those that are not sold by the 3 sales houses involved. Each package has its own reach and frequency guarantees. The adults 15+ package has a guaranteed reach of 31% with a frequency of 3.2; the cost for this package is £58,712.
While all stations are included in the all adults package some of the stations are omitted from the other packages if their audiences are not compatible. For example Kiss FM, Choice FM and Galaxy are not included in the 35+ package.
As well as the audience packages there are some that are programming led, such as a sports package. This reaches the 50 stations that offer at least 3 hours of sports programming on Saturday afternoons. National Network Radio can be bought through the 3 sales houses involved. The first advertiser to have taken up the initiative is Volvo. It opted for the all adults package.
