Nationwide Signs Up For E-Commerce Campaign

The Nationwide Building Society has announced a six-figure media deal with a series of partners as part of an e-commerce drive. Twelve month deals have been signed with 5 partner websites to give the company high visibility to those online seeking financial services.
The deals were put together by Tribal DDB, which was appointed digital agency for Nationwide earlier this year. They include keyword deals with Espotting and Overture and tenancy deals with sites including Ask Jeeves and Find. The products being promoted at this initial stage of the campaign include current accounts, credit cards, mortgages, loans and Home, Travel and Motor insurance.
Martin Kelly, senior media planner at Tribal DDB said: “The strategy behind the deals is to target customers when they are actively seeking financial products and therefore in the right frame of mind, hence a lot of activity is keyword focussed. Furthermore, through partnering with AOL we have extended our reach to an audience that spend very little time off the service and have a very good fit with Nationwide.”
