NetCrawling Unveils Hot New Ad Monitoring Tool

Internet ad monitoring service NetCrawling has launched a new spidering product called Brand Pepper that measures the total marketing impact of brands online.

The new product, which collects PR, sponsorship, advertising and web positioning information, allows agencies and brand owners to quantify their total online marketing spend and directly compare it to that of their competitors.

According to Netcrawling’s UK managing director, Simon Bright, Brand Pepper will revolutionise online brand measurement providing advertisers with “total accountability”. He said: “The new product is designed to identify where a brand’s press coverage is appearing, the impressions it generates, the context within which it is written and report all of this within a pre-defined competitive set.”

He added: “For example a car brand can identify its brand visibility in relation to its competitors using a number of criteria associated with that market, such as value for money, reliability, environment, emissions, features and luxury etc.”

The new product, which alerts clients by email when one of their competitors brands appears online, is designed to bridge the gap between pure clippings services and online research agencies.
