New Digital Ad Network Launches For Shoppers

Fledgling media group, Inter-ad, has secured a number of high profile brands to appear on its new network of digital advertising screens in shopping centres across the UK.
Brands including Cadbury’s, Dixons, Vision Express and KFC have agreed to trial the new AdVantage network, which will use the latest technology to deliver advertising content directly to consumers.
The new network will allow advertisers to side-step the long lead-in times usually associated with outdoor campaigns and will enable brands to refresh their ads on a daily basis. It will also broadcast a range of public information, including news, weather, traffic and sports results.
Craig Duff, director of Inter-ad, commented: “Leading brands, which have already used the AdVantage network at our two flagship sites, have recorded increases of up to 35% in their revenue. No other medium can get brands so close to your target audience and with our growth plans, AdVantage will be displaying to 5 million shopping centre visitors per week on a national basis.”
Duff is confident the new ad network will prove successful in the crowded marketplace. He adds: “With the amount of advertising clutter around it has become even more important to deliver the right message to the right people at the right time. Our offering enables brands to stand out in an environment that is also host to your competitors activity and can influence a purchasing decision.”
The outdoor industry has been performing well recently and the latest figures from the Advertising Association show that the sector saw expenditure increase by 1.9% year on year during 2002 (see Outdoor Growth Boosts UK Adspend During 2002).
