Gruner and Jahr are creating a new home interest title called Your Home. It will compete with House Beautiful andIdeal Home. There is, as yet, no further information on the title.

John Brown Contract Publishing has landed the contract to produce Debenhams’ in-store magazine. Debenhams Magazine will be published three times a year with an initial print-run of 500,000. The first issue will be distributed though the chains’ 90 stores from March 27. The cover-price has been set at £1; it will be free to Debenhams’ store-card holders. The magazine will be fashion and home-interest centred and will be targeted at ABC1 women in their thirties.

XL Communications has taken on the contract for a new magazine. Home & Life will arrive on 250,000 British doorsteps alongside the milk bottles. Maggie Goodman, who launched Hello! and Company magazines is to edit the new title. It will be delivered to homes by milkmen, on behalf of the Milk Marque and the main dairies. A three week TV promotion will precede the launch in May. The magazine will be targeted at women. It will have 164 pages of editorial, covering dairy recipes, fashion, health and home interest.
