Adwanted UK has announced that News UK’s Octave has become the latest digital platform to sell its audio inventory through J-ET, UK radio’s trading and accountability system.
The digital equivalents of News UK’s biggest radio brands, including talkSPORT and Virgin Radio, will now be available for trading on the platform, along with a considerable podcast portfolio with a collective monthly reach of over 14.5m listeners, supported by extensive first-party data (30m+ consumers).
Octave is also the first sales point to sell digital sponsorships and spot bookings through the system.
News UK’s Octave joins Bauer’s audioXi and Global’s DAX who joined last November after digital trading was launched.
The addition of Octave signals that the industry is embracing modernisation in an increasingly fragmented audio landscape.
Russell Pedrick, managing director, Octave, said: “Joining J-ET is a pivotal step in Octave’s mission to shape the audio landscape.
“By integrating our premium, data-fuelled inventory into the industry’s core trading hub, we are effectively bridging the gap between linear and digital audio.
“We are excited to collaborate with J-ET to build a more unified ecosystem – one that empowers both broadcasters and advertisers to accelerate growth and trade with total confidence across every platform.”
Helen Haslam, head of planning and business director, Radio Works Group, said: “With Octave joining the J-ET roster, this will further cement our planning and buying capabilities across linear and digital audio within the platform.
“We have long enjoyed safe and transparent trading for linear campaigns, and adding in more digital providers adds strength to our audio offering.
“The J-ET system is user-friendly and efficient, allowing us to easily measure audio data holistically across platforms.”
J-ET is managed and developed by Adwanted UK and has been central to UK radio for over two decades by providing trusted, accountable trading and reporting for both stations and agencies.
