Ovaltine And Capespan Plums Win Radio Ad Awards

February’s creative radio advertising awards have been won by Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters for its client Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters, and the Network for Capespan Plums.

The judges liked Ovaltine Light for the jingle, “when you feel in a state, have a malt and choco-late”. The Capespan Plums ad features a market trader selling plums; when he starts selling Capespan Plums his voice becomes plummier and plummier and turns into Kenneth Williams.

Also nominated were the Independent on Sunday, who used sex to grab attention and First Telecom who have a chat with the White House switchboard because it is so cheap to call.

The Aerial Awards, for promoting excellence in radio advertising are presented yearly in October; the monthly award winners go straight to the final shortlisting session.
