Parks Associates has released new research on the US smart TV marketplace suggesting that the number of consumers planning on purchasing a smart TV has nearly doubled in less than a year.
The report, The Consumer Decision Process: Summer Update, demonstrates that a quarter of US broadband households intend to purchase an Internet-connectable consumer electronic device in 2011, with more than a tenth of broadband households planning to purchase a smart TV in the second half of 2011, up from 6% in the first half.
