Of the London stations, Capital FM fared best, with total share of listening within the London TSA increasing by 3.7% points to 20.3% compared to the same period last year. The station’s weekly reach also improved, to 32% up from 31% in the same period last year. Capital Gold did not fare so well, with its share of listening down from 8.7% last year to 6.4% this quarter. Weekly reach decreased by 4% points to 14%.

Neither of the LBC stations performed well; both LBC Newstalk and LBC Talkback lost 1% point in weekly reach to 10% and 6% respectively. LBC Newstalk’s share of listening fell 0.6% points to 4.4%; Talkback fell 0.5% to 4%.

JFM, formerly Jazz FM, increased its share of listening from 1.2% to 1.3%, with weekly reach remaining static at 5%. Kiss FM, whose weekly reach remained at 9%, achieved an increase in its share of listening up 0.3% points to 3.8%. Melody Radio also remained fairly static, with reach remaining at 9%, and share of listening up 0.3% points to 4.7%.

Sunrise Radio fared worst of the London stations, losing 5.7% points in its total share of listening, down from 8.2% to 2.5% share. The station’s weekly reach fell from 9% to 4%.

Of those stations whose Total Survey Area is smaller than the London area, Choice FM fared worst, losing 6% points of weekly reach, dropping from 12% reach to just 6%. RTM and Spectrum increased reach by 1% point each. RTM has 0.8% share of listening of its TSA, and Spectrum 0.7%.
