Redwood Publishing has secured the contract to publish Royal Mail’s three business to business publications: Response, Sort It and Worldclass.
The contract will run for three years and will give Redwood, which also also produces magazines for Marks and Spencer, Boots and Safeways, complete control of the Royal Mail’s portfolio of quarterly publications.
Commenting on the win, Keith Grainger, chief executive of Redwood, said: “This is an important win for Redwood. Royal Mail is transforming its business and its brand. These magazines will actively support this transformation by helping to bond customers to the Royal Mail at every level of the decision making process.”
Michael Baulk, chairman of Redwood and chief executive officer of ad agency AMV BBDO, added: “The group’s recent Royal Mail win is certainly one of our most significant. It’s an important opportunity to demonstrate the group’s ability to deliver strong creative work to intelligent brand thinking integrated across several streams of communication. Redwood’s appointment is a welcome addition to this effort.”
Affluent consumers value contract magazines highly and according to market research company, Mintel, 52% of ABC1s prefer being told about products and services through customer magazines than via any other marketing medium (see Contract Publishing Industry Continues To Boom).
