Research Released On Northcliffe Title

New research from NOP, commissioned by Northcliffe, claims that a campaign in the Sentinel will reach 52,000 more ABC1 adults in the Stoke-on-Trent area than a campaign across all of the daily national broadsheets combined, while an insertion in all of the paid-for weekly titles in the area combined will reach a smaller audience than a single insertion in the Northcliffe title.

The research also says that reader influence is such that 100,000 adults in the area rely solely on the Sentinel and do not read a national daily title at all on an average day. In the course of an average week the title increases its reach from 53% of adults to 72%, while in the last year six times as many people claimed to have responded to an ad in the Sentinel than to advertising in any other medium in this area. It is also claimed that the newspaper has good advertising strength in the area, being considered more interesting, helpful and trustworthy than other mediums.
