Carlton Communication’s good financial performance has had a negative effect on the company’s share price. At the beginning of the week Carlton’s share price stood at 498p, rising to 503p on Tuesday. Carlton’s price then fell throughout the rest of the week, so that by the close of trading on Friday Carlton price had fallen to 473p.
Interest in Yorkshire Tyne Tees television appears to be waning after its share price fell by over 40p for the week. YTT TV share price started the week at 1305p before falling to 1257p on Friday. YTT TV is one of the few remaining ITV companies that is not controlled by the three major media owners (Granada, Carlton and United News & Media) and is thought to be one of the next to be taken over.
