TCI Increases Satellite Hold In UK
TeleCommunications Inc is about to gain control of Flextech. This will mean that Flextech will have control over Bravo, and its stake in the Children’s Channel will increase from 50.1% to 75%. Flextech has a 39% stake in The Family Channel and will gain TCI’s 24% stake in UK Gold and 35% of UK Living.
Speculation is that the deal could be a step towards the creation of a sales house representing the non-BskyB channels.
BSkyB is taking legal action against the BBC and Sue Barker after Barker broke her contract with BSkyB to join the BBC.
