Times Redesign Launches Monday

Times Redesign Launches Monday

Times Logo The Times is launching the first stage of its full colour redesign on Monday, according to a report.

Monday’s edition will feature colour-coded sections as the first stage in a process continuing until September, said a report on MediaGuardian.co.uk.

Monday will see an expanded times2 features section.

Journalists are understood to have been briefed to concentrate on writing longer pieces or short news items, avoiding mid-length stories.

The revamp will focus on the Monday to Friday paper but not the Saturday edition.

The latest ABC figures, for April 2008, show that the Times shed almost 11,000 copies from its circulation last month, leaving it with a total figure of just over 618,000 (see ABC National Newspaper Round-Up: April 2008).
