Translucis has unveiled the brand identity for its network of plasma screens in bars and clubs.
The network, which launched last year (see No Chance Of A Quiet Pint As Translucis Targets 18-24 Year Olds In Pubs), will be known as Magnetic and the new identity, which was created by BamberForsyth:Finch, will be unveiled to the company’s 18-24 year-old youth audience with a series of moving idents developed by Robot Productions.

Marketing director of Translucis, Sue Aitken, said: “Recent research tells us that our screens are a real talking point amongst 18-24 year olds in bars and clubs and they have expressed a demand for a name for the channel. The Magnetic name gives the network a major point of differentiation between the programmes shown on Magnetic screens and other offerings.”
Translucis recently appointed former CIA new business director, Ian Davis, as executive media director of its plasma screen network (see Translucis Appoints Executive Media Director). Over the coming year Davis will work to drive commercial advertising revenue and raise awareness of opportunities to use the Magnetic network.
