Jason Trout, Emap Advertising’s current sales director, digital and a management board member, has now been appointed to the role of sales director, magazines.
Trout will take on the direction of Emap’s award-winning magazine sales team, reporting into Emap Advertising MD, Marcus Rich. The role will encompass responsibility for a portfolio of 22 consumer magazines and a team of over 100 people comprising Display, Inserts, Creative Solutions and Classified Advertising Teams.
Jason replaces Carrie Barker who moves from her current role of sales director, Magazines to become managing director of Emap’s Australian operation in January 2007.
Jason joined Emap Advertising in 2002, bringing with him over 15 years sales experience in magazines, TV and radio. Previously deputy magazine sales director, reporting into Carrie Barker, Jason and the team won Sales Team of the Year at both the Media Week and Campaign Awards in 2005.
More recently in his role as sales director, digital, Jason oversaw a programme of increased focus and investment in Emap Advertising’s digital sales team.
