Total terrestrial TV revenue came in at £184.44 million in January, according to agency estimates. Of this ITV earned £130.21m, C4 earned £39.55m and GMTV brought in £4.8m. C5’s revenue appears pretty static with a figure of £9.8m.

January impacts were down across the board for both ITV and C4. C4 Women impacts showed the largest year on year fall, down 10.8% while for ITV this category slipped 9%. C5 Women impacts stood at 1,552. Housewives also showed a large slump, though there was a greater fall at C4 (-7.8%) than at ITV (-6.1%).

All terrestrial channels experienced a fall in viewing share in January. ITV showed the biggest drop with a year on year fall of 1.8% points while BBC1 fell 1.1% points. Cable and satellite channels collectively saw an increase of 1.1% points to 12% while C5’s share stood at 3.3%.
