TV Viewing Summary – W/E 16/6/96
The Euro’ 96 clash between England and Scotland has entered the top ten viewing figures at number six. The match, shown on BBC1 (15/6/96) , attracted an audience of 10.51 million according to the latest BARB viewing figures. Euro’ 96 has proved to be very popular with no less than seven matches in the top thirty. As the tournament progresses along with the expectations of the England team, it is possible that viewing figures will increase even further.
Coronation Street (Wed) is at number one with 13.71 million and Monday’s edition is in second place with 13.44 million. Compared to figures published on the 9th June, the series Wycliffe has dropped to number seventeen with 8.28 million viewers compared to 10.26 million. Meridian’s (ITV) The Independent Man enters the chart at number twenty-three with 7.40 million viewers.
