TV Viewing Summary – W/E 27/08/95
The first two days of Channel 4’s Sci-Fi Weekend has had some success, with the film Outland and the documentary Real X Files both attracting over 2 million viewers although both programmes failed to appear in Channel 4’s top ten programmes list.
Television viewing is starting to increase as summer comes to an end; this week’s total television viewing is up by 1 hour and 40 minutes on last week’s total and should continue as the nights get shorter. Share of viewing for ITV and BBC1 has remained unchanged on last week’s figures, with only BBC2 increasing its share, and Channel 4 and Other viewing falling.
Other viewing has maintained a share of viewing of over 9% for all the weeks in August and looks set to beat its highest ever share of 8.5% which it has had for the last three months.
