UKTV set for Home channel launch

UKTV Logo UKTV’s Home channel rebrand is set to launch at the end of the month with a new website to give interior design advice to DIY enthusiasts.

The idents for the channel run with the strap line – ‘There’s no place like it’ – alongside a through-the-key-hole theme.

The four idents, which have been designed by Red Bee Media, show different people’s homes, such as a urban couple, a family, an older couple and flat sharers.

UKTV’s Home channel launch continues its channel portfolio rebrand, which will also see UKTV Gardens become Really.

Home has been rebranded from UKTV Style and will target 35-54 year olds, with shows such as DIY SOS and Escape to the Country.

Jane Mote, director of factual, lifestyle and new media at UKTV, said: “Home gives viewers and web users a clear destination for all the best home content and incorporates our gardens programming.”

In February, UKTV History relaunched as Yesterday, following on from UKTV’s factual stations Eden and Blightly as well as entertainment channels Dave, Watch and Alibi.
