Viacom Launches XTP Packages

Viacom Outdoor has launched its first advertising packages for the XTP moving advertising system on the London Underground. Advertisers are being offered incentives to be the first to take up opportunities during the live trial during March next year.
The XTP system will launch in full during the summer of next year. The system projects digital images onto the wall of the tunnel opposite platforms, so adverts can contain moving images and can also be changed according to day part. Seven packages including commuter, consumer, entertainer and weekender are to be made available, with location or depart targeting. Airtime will also be available to buy individually by site, day and time of day.
Speaking at the launch, Alison Reay, Viacom Outdoor’s business development director for XTP spoke of the anticipation built up during the two years of developing the system, and described the product as “A fantastic new opportunity for advertisers looking for standout.”
Among the incentives being offered to those who sign up for the March trials are first access to the results of qualitative research carried out during the trial, priority access to airtime and creative and production services and advice from Viacom’s in-house team.
