Viacom Outdoor Secures Film Brand For Bus Ad Campaign

Viacom Outdoor has secured Columbia Tristar as the first film advertiser to use its new Mega Sides bus advertising panels.
From 14 June a campaign promoting the new Spider-Man film will appear on the giant Mega Sides panels, which cover enitre bus sides, in Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. The promotion will also span 1,300 smaller T-Side panels, with extra impact provided by Mega Rear panels.
UK marketing director of Columbia Tristar UK, Stuart Williams, said: “We are delighted with the bus element of the Spider-Man campaign. The creative works extremely well on the large formats and suits Spider-Man’s ability to cling to any surface. The combination of colour, dimension and movement will play a major part in the excitement and build up to the films release.”
The campaign was planned by Zenith and Meridian Outdoor, with buying from Posterscope and creative by Empire Design.
Viacom-Outdoor recently announced that it had secured five major brands to use its Golden Jubilee bus advertising packages, which were unveiled in London last month (see Viacom Outdoor Secures Brands For Jubilee Packages).
