The dance music magazine, Wax, is to be relaunched by its new owners Music Scotland Ltd. on 19 February. The title was previously published by Mark Allen Publishing but the group decided to fold the magazine in November last year. Prior to this the title was published under the name of Generator by Gillies Publishing which also lost faith in the project.
Music Scotland Ltd. are to reposition the title so that it becomes a 100% specialist dance music guide; it will not, for instance, feature fashion sections and the like. Also a spokesperson for the magazine promised that every issue would include a free cover-mounted CD.
Wax is priced £2.90 and is intended to compliment rather than clash with M8, a dance mag also published by Music Scotland.
