Yahoo! and IPC To Produce Web Soap Service

IPC’s entertainment website www.unmissabletv.com has signed a content provision deal with search engine Yahoo! UK & Ireland.

The agreement will see the IPC website help to produce Yahoo! UK & Ireland Soaps, a service which will preview the day’s soaps and include gossip, a diary and character profiles, in what Colin Tough, executive editor of IPC tx, hopes will be “The ultimate destination for the UK’s soap fans.”

Pointing out that his site’s user figures have outstripped its rivals during the eight months since launch (see IPC To Launch Television Website) Tough continued, “We believe that the combination of Yahoo! UK & Ireland and unmissabletv’s content is a powerful proposition for the web user.”

This latest arrangement follows on from other deals struck by unmissabletv with BT Cellnet and Virgin.
