Yell is launching its first ever television advertising campaign to support the launch of its directory enquiry service, 118 247.
The campaign, created by Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO, will form part of a £2 million integrated marketing initiative, which also includes a range of regional radio and newspaper activity featuring James Nesbitt of ITV’s popular drama Cold Feet.
Commenting on the initiative, Nick Harknett, head of marketing for Yellow Pages 118 247, said: “This campaign emphasises that there is a niche service providing not just directory enquiries but also round-the-clock information about businesses and services. The adverts underline that it can be trusted, helpful and straightforward to use, just like our Yellow Pages directory.”
Earlier this year the latest Ads That Make News survey from Propeller Communications revealed that The Number’s high profile 118 118 campaign featuring two seventies-style long distance runners was the most written about ad in the UK national press (see 118 118 Runners Finish First In Ads That Make News Survey).
