Yelp unveils new features to help advertisers

Yelp announced a suite of new features and updates designed to empower national service businesses and advertisers. The centerpiece of the announcement is Request a Quote for Brands, a new offering that expands Yelp’s popular lead generation tool to multi-location businesses.

Focus on lead generation for national services businesses

Yelp has seen significant growth in its services category, and the company is now prioritizing features that cater to national service providers. Request a Quote for Brands allows these businesses to capture leads from high-intent consumers across all their locations. Additionally, the new Leads API streamlines lead management by integrating seamlessly with existing customer relationship management (CRM) tools. This eliminates the need for manual data entry and simplifies the process for both businesses and consumers.

Building trust and expertise

Yelp is also extending its Yelp Guaranteed program to national service businesses. Yelp Guaranteed offers customers financial protection for covered projects, up to $2,500, if something goes wrong. This can give consumers greater confidence when hiring a national service provider they may not be familiar with.

In addition, Yelp is rolling out its Verified License and Portfolio products to national businesses. Verified License allows companies to showcase their valid trade licenses, while Portfolio enables them to display photos of past projects. Both features can help build trust and credibility with potential customers.

Enhanced advertising options for national brands

Yelp is not forgetting about national advertisers. The company is introducing several new ad formats and measurement tools. Enhancements to Spotlight Ads allow brands to display video ads in more prominent locations across the Yelp platform. Additionally, Yelp Audiences is expanding to include audio platforms and connected TV providers, giving advertisers new ways to reach their target audience. Finally, a new conversion API will help advertisers track the effectiveness of their campaigns without relying on cookies, a technology that is increasingly being phased out.
