Do you think today’s teenager generation will consume media in 10 years’ time in a way that is fundamentally different to that of current 25 to 30 year olds?
There are many arguments for and against – media boundaries will certainly blur even further. What one cannot argue is that the use of several digital devices has blown a hole in traditional media business strategies, requiring an unprecedented fundamental re-think (still work in progress in many cases).
Observing and questioning teenagers’ media consumption and media views certainly can provide a valuable insight, and we are going to do just that on 20 April at Channel 4. We hope you can join us, chip in and ask questions of our first teenage panel.
We will also have really valuable contributions from the industry. Stuart Cosgrave is director of creative diversity at Channel 4; Matt Jagger is head of entertainment at Naked Communications, and before that was a director at Universal Music and CEO of Ministry of Sound; and James Holland is editor of Electric Pig – which is at the cutting edge of new technology. More great insight.
Put it all together and there’s a entertaining and informative morning for anyone with an interest in how technology is shaping consumer attitudes and the media industry. Presumably that’s most of you!
