Spotify has agreed its first operator distribution deal with mobile phone company 3.
3 plans to bundle the ad-free music streaming service into a new tariff and handset offer that will cost consumers around £35 a month for two years, according to reports.
Spotify Mobile will be available on the HTC Hero, a Google Android phone, from November.
The package is set to include unlimited Spotify access for mobiles and PCs for 24 months, as well as 750 minutes, texts, 3-to-3 voice calls, email and internet browsing.
Charlotte Blanchard, director of products and services at 3, said: “This continues our commitment to bring popular internet services to our customers. Spotify Mobile is a fantastic digital service which gives consumers the ability to enjoy and share music in an affordable way.”
