A peak of 3.6 million adults (an 18% share) tuned in to ITV1 at 9pm for Hell’s Kitchen, as the masterful Marco Pierre White once more poured scorn on his pathetic charges.

Meanwhile, on BBC Two at 9pm was the amusing panel show Mock The Week, hosted by Dara O’Briain. The entertaining quiz had a peak of 1.9 million adults (a 9.7% share).

It was followed at 9.30pm by Saxondale, Steve Coogan’s latest creation. Whilst not being a patch on Partridge, the roadie turned pest-controller sit-com is pretty watchable and it managed to get a peak of 1.3 million adults.

Last night’s episode saw Tommy Saxondale get glued to a chair by some kids who were not very impressed by his thoughts on sticking it to ‘the man’.
