5.8 Million Stick With I’m A Celebrity…

I'm A Celebrity... I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! saw its audience drop to an average of 5.8 million adults for the second episode last night, against strong competition from the likes of Spooks on BBC One and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on Channel 4.

As the ‘celebs’ continued to settle in to jungle life and loudmouthed ex-model Janice Dickinson was repeatedly chosen by the public for the bush tucker trials, the show lured an average of 5.8 million to ITV1, compared to 7.8 million for its opening night.

This gave the channel a 25.6% share between 9pm and 10pm, which followed Trinny and Susannah Undress, where the ghoulish pair tried to sort out the fashion senseless men of Britain. The duo drew almost 2.8 million adults to ITV1 between 8pm and 9pm.

Tough competition for I’m A Celebrity… came in the form of Spooks over on BBC One. Almost 5.1 million adults tuned in to see top agent Adam get himself in some very hot water, giving the station a 22.5% viewing share.

Over on Channel 4, foulmouthed, no nonsense chef, Gordon Ramsay was joined by 2.7 million (11.9%) as he tried to once again sort out headstrong Brian and the failing Fenwick Arms in Lancashire.

Meanwhile, 2.1 million (9.2%) went with Five for CSI: Miami, whilst more than 1.9 million (11.7%) stuck with the channel for CSI: NY.

Earlier, medical drama Holby City on BBC One was the most watched programme in the 8pm to 9pm timeslot. More than 5.9 million adults were gripped by the programme, which gave the station a 27.9% share.

Autumnwatch proved popular for BBC Two, with 3.2 million adults (15%) observing Britain’s wonderful fauna, whilst Sarah Beeny’s Property Ladder on C4 attracted over 2.4 million (11.4%).
