9.2 Million Adults Watch Football Final

GOAL! A peak of 9.2 million adults watched Milan exact revenge for the miracle of Istanbul last night, as they ran out 2-1 winners over a Liverpool team that played its heart out.

The Champions League final, shown live on ITV1, had an average of 6.8 million viewers glued to their screens throughout its running time, as they savoured the build up, the drama and the heart-wrenching climax.

In the end, it was just a bridge too far for the plucky reds. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom, as Sir Alan was over on BBC One sticking it to the remaining contestants on The Apprentice.

Jadine became the tenth casualty of this series, and although Sir Alan expressed admiration for the way she had climbed up the “greasy pole”, he wasted no time in telling her “you’re fired”.

A peak of 5.3 million adults watched the show, and an average of 4.1 million stayed tune for its hour duration.

As usual, The Apprentice was up against Grand Designs on Channel 4, where the indefatigable Kevin McCloud went to Devon to take on a very peculiar design.

An average of 2.2 million adults watched the hour long show, which covered the difficulties of building a seashell shaped house in just six months.
