TV market round-up: September 2013

Commercial television channels saw a rise in yearly revenues in September, with the exception of Channel 4 and ITV Breakfast, down -1.3% and 0.6%, respectively.

ITV continued to lead the ranks after seeing a 7.4% increase, taking its September total to just short of £120 million

However, it was Channel 5 that saw that greatest percentage change, up 14.1% to £29.3 million – giving the broadcaster a comfortable lead over fourth spot runner ITV Breakfast.

Total Terrestrial (inc. ITV Breakfast) was up 5.8%, taking total revenue to just over £203.3 million, while Total Satellite revenue fell just short of £140 million after increasing by 5.8%.
