According to agency estimates, total terrestrial television revenue for February (including GMTV) came in at £176.35 million. Of this, ITV brought in £120.83 million (down 0.8% year on year), Channel 4 £41.12m (up 9.3%), Channel 5 £9.53m and GMTV £4.87m (down 9.8%).

Among ITV audiences there was a large rise in costs for Women, which saw an increase of 12.2%. Most other categories saw rises above the 8% mark though Men only went up by 3.3%. Most ITV impacts were down between 8% and 9% for February, though Women slipped 11% , while Men dropped by only 4%. For C4 there were smaller drops while there was actually a rise of 2% for ABC1 Adults.

In terms of individuals viewing share ITV suffered a year on year drop of 3% points in February to 32%, while BBC1 slipped 1.3% points to 29.7%. C5’s share stood at 3.4% while cable and satellite channels as a whole went up by 1.7% points to 13.3%. This is the highest ever viewing share achieved by the non-terrestrials.
