John Surrell, chairman of Newell and Surrell, is to launch a new satirical newspaper, The Cartoonist due for release on April 1.
The new fortnightly 28 page broadsheet will comprise mainly of cartoons, covering news from both home and abroad with regular features on business, sport and the arts. The title will be edited by Steve Way, former cartoon editor of Punch.
The Cartoonist will be available on newsstands and subscription, with a cover price of £1.20 and a print run of 120,000.
Aimed at an audience of businessmen, media types and the over 30’s, the advertising will be handled by Katherine Sorrell.
