Spring may have sprung, but teenagers and young people don’t yet seem to be embracing the great, sunny outdoors.
New research from Statista reveals that US Millennials – those born between 1980 and early 2000s – are spending enormous amounts of time interacting with various media, totalling 18 hours per day.
Online activities were found to be the most popular, with the average Millennial spending a combined total of almost seven hours a day on the internet and social networking sites, while watching live TV, playing video games and watching shows on-demand took the following three spots.
The three least popular activities were using email, text and texting apps (one hour four minutes), talking about news/products/brands (one hour four minutes) and reading print magazines/newspapers – with the average person spending just over half an hour getting their fingers a bit inky.
