Guardian.co.uk was the only online news platform to record any significant growth in February, while the MailOnline lost over half a million daily browsers.
The latest ABC results show that the Guardian’s digital platform was up 7.8% in February to add an extra 393,000 unique visitors a day, taking its total browser figure to 5.4 million.
Not such good news for the MailOnline, which after a -4.5% hit, saw average daily browsers decline by 527,000 – significantly greater than the other platforms.
An -8% decline meant that the Independent online’s unique daily visitors fell below the 1.5 million mark, while a -6.8% decline lost the Telegraph online almost 230,000.
A small 0.2% increase saw the Mirror Digital Group add an extra 5,000 browsers a day, taking its total to almost 2.5 million.
