IPC Plans Autumn Promotions Push
IPC Magazines is planning a £7.5 million sales drive this Autumn which will include TV ad campaigns for Woman, Now, Chat, TV Times and TV & Satellite Week.
IPC is anticipating the expansion of the TV listings market, particularly with the emergence of digital television towards the end of this year. TV Times is to reinforce its redevelopment in line with these changes through a £300,000 TV, radio, poster and direct mail marketing campaign.
David Stam, managing director of IPC’s distribution company, MarketForce, says: “A campaign of this size highlights to the newstrade IPC’s investment and commitment to drive sales forward during this key period within many of the main magazine sectors.”
IPC is also planning a big promotions push for its women’s weeklies – Woman and Woman’s Own are both to feature summer specials as well as TV ad campaigns.
IPC recently announced that its Options magazine is to undergo a revamp (see IPC Gives Options A Makeover) and this will also receive a £500,000 push during the Autumn.
