Adbrain brings in Xaxis’ data lead to strengthen London team

Ad-tech company Adbrain has announced the appointment of Tim Abraham as director of data platforms.

Abraham, who joins Adbrain from Xaxis where he directed the business’ EMEA data and audience division, will work with the company’s London-based engineering team to help expand Adbrain’s data management capabilities and accelerate strategic data partnerships.

Abraham has been brought into the company as it looks to strengthen its investment in mobile-first data and focus on solutions designed for an increasingly digitalised advertising space.

“Tim proved instrumental in driving Xaxis’ global data proposition and is a hugely respected leader in the programmatic data space,” said Gareth Davies, CEO and co-founder of Adbrain.

“His knowledge and expertise will no doubt prove invaluable as we continue to enable our customers to unlock, enrich and intelligently activate their data in mobile across devices.”

Davies added that the full value of customer data that brands have been collecting on and offline for years is yet to be used to maximise the effectiveness of marketing.

“Unlocking the value hidden away in customer data, and critically mobile data, means delivering more relevant advertisements to customers, which will not only significantly improve ROI but help deliver ads customers appreciate,” he said.

Abraham said: “Advertisers are desperate to reach their audiences effectively on mobile – and in a way that synchronises with their display advertising efforts.

“Adbrain can execute flawlessly in this respect – because its technology stack has been built to provide a mobile-first, multiscreen advertising solution from the ground up, from day one. That stack, and the company’s engineering-centric structure, is why I’m so excited to be joining at the present time.”

Abraham’s appointment follows Adbrain’s completion of a $7.5 million Series A funding round in March this year. Adbrain’s beta clients include Annalect (part of Omnicom Media Group Europe), M&C Saatchi Mobile, and The Exchange Lab.
