June was a successful month for online newsbrands, with all but one platform reporting either good or strong gains.
MailOnline was down -0.8% over the month, dropping an average of 88,000 unique daily browsers, taking its total number to just under 11 million.
A 22% rise saw the Telegraph’s online platform add an extra 680,000 average unique visitors a day – the greatest addition of all the titles. The site recorded a total of almost 4 million unique browsers a day.
Guardian.co.uk, Trinity Mirror Nationals and the Independent also all performed well over the month, adding 260,000, 230,000 and 209,000, respectively.
A 30% increase in average unique daily browsers for manchestereveningnews.co.uk saw the title push towards the 330,000 mark after adding just short of 75,000, while a 25% increase for express.co.uk saw the title add an extra 139,000 to reach 706,000.
