Sky has announced that its internet streaming service Now TV has been made available on PlayStation 4 consoles, giving gamers access to a range of films, live sport and 10 pay TV channels.
With the Now TV Entertainment Month Pass, users will be able to watch shows including Silicon Valley, Geordie Shore and Got To Dance, alongside previous seasons of selected series, while the Movies Month Pass will give subscribers access to more than 800 films for £8.99 a month.
For £9.99, the Sky Sports Day Pass will allow customers to watch a number of live sporting events on all six Sky Sports channels for 24 hours, including the Barclays Premier League, Football League Season, UEFA Super Cup, PGA Championship, the US Open, Formula 1 and the Ryder Cup.
Gidon Katz, director of Now TV, said: “We’re excited to be able to unveil yet another fantastic way to watch Now TV – offering the huge number of PS4 customers in the UK a contract-free and flexible way of watching great pay TV content on their television.”
The news comes as Sky looks ready to take over its sister companies in Italy and Germany in a multi-billion pound deal, which, if successful, will create one of Europe’s largest pay TV operators.
