BDDP To Back UK Agency

French agency Boulet Dru Dupuy Petit is believed to be providing backing for a new full service London agency, which will be managed by former Saatchi managing director Paul Bainsfair (who left the agency last week) and ex-GGT creative director Dave Trott. BDDP has been looking for a UK agency to invest in since its failed takeover attempt for BMP last year. Reports suggest that BDDP is ploughing between £2m and £3m into the new launch, and Bainsfair, whose package at Saatchis was in excess of £200,000, has commented “I couldn’t resist the money”. A formal announcement on the launch is expected this week.
