ABC Consumer January – June 2014: TV Listings
For the first time Newsline is reporting on combined print and digital (gross) figures for all magazine brands, as this is now ABC’s “headline figure”.
Although the separate figures for print and digital are revealed in the charts below, all copy will only reference combined data. As a result, please note that there is no comparable year-on-year data.
The latest Consumer ABC figures for the January – July 2014 period reveal a sorry picture for the TV Listings sector, with no titles recording any increases in gross circulation.
Once again TV Choice, What’s on TV and Radio Times maintained the top three spots. Despite all titles declining over the period, both TV Choice and What’s on TV recorded average monthly gross circulations over one million, while Radio Times secured just short of 763,000.
The greatest decreases in average monthly gross circulation belonged to Hearst Magazine’s All About Soap, down -12.2% PoP, and IPC Media’s TV Times and Soaplife, down 10.4% PoP and -9.4% PoP, respectively.
Elsewhere, Inside Soap was down -7.5% PoP, TV & Satellite Week was down -3.8% PoP, TV Easy was down -3.3% PoP and Total TV Guide was down -1.8% PoP.
