July was another successful month for online newsbrands, with all but one platform reporting either good or strong gains.

Independent.co.uk also put in a solid performance, up almost 11% in July to secure 200,000 extra daily browsers – taking it past 2 million for the first time.
Remaining in pole position, the MailOnline saw a slight increase of 1.2% (127,200) to take it just over 11 million average daily unique browsers – a little over five million higher than second place holder, guardian.co.uk, with 5.94 million daily browsers.
Elsewhere, Metro rocketed more than 18% and now records a daily audience of more than 1.5 million.
However, the highest growth rate in July belonged to liverpoolecho.co.uk which was up more than 45% – adding over 111,300 daily readers. The newsbrand currently has almost 360,000 daily browsers.
