Evening Standard updates Fashion & Beauty sections

To coincide with London Fashion Week, the London Evening Standard has launched a new Fashion & Beauty section, designed to appeal to the more “style-conscious” reader.

The revamp comes as the Evening Standard looks to “expand and diversify” its online platform, which has seen a 13.8% rise in unique monthly users since June this year, and a significant 38% year on year increase.

Headed by Amira Hashish, digital features editor, the Fashion & Beauty team will be reviewing and writing about the latest product releases and fashion and beauty news.

For fashion, the team will cover news, trends, people and parties, while the beauty section will include features on hair, make-up, nails, skincare, spas and must-have products.

As well as incorporating content from the Evening Standard print edition, the digital sections will also feature exclusive online content, including interviews with top names in the fashion and beauty industry, and runway video.

Commenting on the redesign, Hashish said: “This is a thrilling launch for the Evening Standard website. The new Fashion & Beauty section provides our readers with a multimedia hub for style content.

“The team will report on news and trends in an informative and fun tone, bringing stories alive with striking pictures and videos. At a time when London’s fashion and beauty scene is thriving, we are excited to be able to offer fresh and engaging digital coverage.”
