Time Inc. UK makes new senior appointments

Time Inc. UK, formerly IPC Media, has announced the creation of two new senior positions in a bid to strengthen its digital proposition.

The publisher has said that the new roles – head of video and head of mobile – will give “greater focus to these growing areas and the opportunity to enhance digital experiences for consumers and advertising partners.”

Mick Greenwood joins Time Inc. UK from MSN and will take on the role of head of video, where he will be responsible for video strategy and promoting video across editorial, publishing and sales teams. Prior to his time at MSN Greenwood held senior digital positions at GMTV, interactive agencies and MySpace.

Richard Giddings has been promoted from digital editions programme manager to head of mobile, where he will lead the company’s mobile product strategy. Prior to joining the company, Giddings was IT project manager at Virgin Mobile.

Both roles will report to Simon Loxham, Time Inc. UK’s digital technology director, who said: “Developments in video and mobile offer huge growth potential for our brands. With Mick and Rich in these new positions, we’re in an excellent place to deliver enriched multimedia experiences for consumers and clients alike.”

Time Inc. UK publishes over 60 titles including Decanter, Country Life, Horse & Hound, NME, What’s on TV and Wallpaper.
