Nigel Vaz named global president of DigitasLBi

Publicis.Sapient has announced an expanded role for Nigel Vaz that will see him become global president for DigitasLBi. Meanwhile, DigitasLBi’s global CEO Luke Taylor is stepping down from the role after four years.

In addition to leading Publicis.Sapient in Europe and Asia, Vaz will now be responsible for driving the global strategy and growth of DigitasLBi.

“As clients transform to be digital-first and develop digitally-driven business models, it’s critical we help them access capabilities and talent across our brands in order to deliver the outcomes at the speed they require,” said Alan Wexler, co-CEO of Publicis.Sapient.

“This will be a key objective for Nigel in his new role.”

Vaz said: “I’m thrilled to step into this role to both strengthen DigitasLBi’s position as a marketing transformation partner and to create the highest levels of collaboration and organisational agility across all brands within Publicis.Sapient.”

No explanation was given for Taylor’s departure other than he has “decided to leave the organisation”.
